SUMMER SERIES MUSIC + MARKET 2010
On Historic Murphy Avenue

The weather has been perfect and Murphy Avenue has been packed each week with lots of people dancing, art & craft vendors and a fun time to be had by all.
Join us on the street on our final week this Wednesday to listen to The Hitmen! The Hitmen have been delivering high energy dance music for audiences at benefits, festivals, fairs, concerts, nightclubs, corporate events, weddings and other private functions for over 14 years.
The unique background of the 7-piece band mix their abilities and experiences to create and perform a musical dance review that transcends musical boundaries. The Hitmen play a variety of hits from the 70's to modern day favorites. "When we play we deliver" is their motto. If you are looking for the most "band for the buck" then let them show you what you have been missing.

Construction Updates
- Construction work is underway on the office building at the corner of Washington Ave and Mathilda Ave. that is to be occupied by Nokia. The first order of business is to complete the exterior shell of the building and the core building systems such as elevators, HVAC, and fire sprinklers. This work is being accomplished by Devcon Construction Inc. and should be complete by the end of November.
- At the same time, Nokia's architects are working on plans for the finished interior of the building. Principal Builders is scheduled to start construction of this work in late August. Completion of work is planned for the end of the year. In addition to completing the corner office building, the exterior of surrounding building is underway. Consruction is taking place on the future condominiums at Taaffe and Washington and along McKinley west of Taaffe, the retail ground floor spaces, and the second office building at Mathilda and McKinley. The two floors of the parking structure on Taaffe between McKinley and Washington that have been closed will be completed and opened by the end of the year. Improvements around the building on this block will be completed at the same time.
- Downtown Sunnyvale visitors and shoppers are encouraged to park in the new parking structure on the west side of Macy's. The entrance to more than 650 free parking spaces is from Taaffe Street, south of Washington Avenue.
